Teaching the Arab Revolts: Integrating Contemporary Middle East Protests Into Our Syllabi

Intended for those with and without Middle East specialties, this workshop provides tools for teaching the "Arab Spring." We will discuss and share syllabi and other resources related to the Arab Spring on: gender; religion; media; labor movements; mulitple causes of the revolts; incorporating areas peripheral to the revolts, like Lebanon and Palestine; and addressing their complex outcomes.
